Tim and I have had kayaks for several years now. It’s nice to be able to walk through the backyard and get in the river and go kayaking. I think we are spoiled. Last year, I didn’t kayak at all, although Tim went out a few times to do his kayak fishing. I was excited that this year Flora would be old enough to bring in the kayak safely. At 20-months old, she now fits into the smallest life vest we could find! Our first 2 trials have gone good. The first time Tim went out with her he stayed close to the dock and only went out for about 10-minutes. The next day we went out together for about 35 minutes. She sat in his kayak, relaxed, watching ducks and seagulls….just taking it in. For me, it was great to get back on the water and share the time with my family. It feels very free to be paddling on water.
